The Kent racer studied Geography at Lancaster University and acclimatised well to car racing, capping off the 2013 season with a victory in the Michelin Clio Cup Series’ ‘Autumn Cup’ event at Rockingham Motor Speedway, before making a seamless transition to endurance racing in the 2014 24H Dubai.

Modell – a prolific kart racer and the 2005 Stars of Tomorrow Rotax MiniMax Champion – finished runner-up in his maiden British GT Championship foray in 2014, staying in contention for the GT4 class title until the final throes of the season to then be selected for the prestigious Aston Martin Racing Evolution Academy.

In 2015, Modell piloted a Speedworks Motorsport-prepared Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 to the 24H Series SP3 class Drivers’ and Teams’ titles and then focused on the Blancpain Endurance Series, in which he most notably achieved a podium finish in the blue-riband 24 Hours of Spa.

In 2017, Modell agreed terms for BAM Motorsport to further manage his career and soon made a strong LMP3 debut with WINEURASIA in the Asian Le Mans Series in Malaysia.
