Now very much part of the US racing scene, Renger started his career in karts before stepping up to Formula Renault 2.0 Netherlands in 2004, securing title the very next season. Formula 3 followed with wins in the Euros Series and British championships before a move away from single-seaters to touring car and prototypes.
Six wins in the Benelux Racing League in 2013 brought him the title while he also competed in the American Le Mans Series for the first time. Proving his versatility, he took the runner-up position in the Macau GT Cup in 2014 while also recording three victories in the United Sports Car Challenge in the US.
2016 was a busy season with outings in Blancpain, NASCAR, Nürburgring Nordschleife but the standout result was the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship title with Starworks Motorsport.
Recently he raced with DragonSpeed in the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season of 2018-19, while also competing in the US with Konica Minolta Cadillac, finishing third in the standings after securing three podiums and victory at Road Atalanta.
Further podiums followed in 2019 as well as a memorable victory at Daytona at the wheel of the Dallara P217 Cadillac. The momentum carried into 2020 where he made it back-to-back victories at the Rolex 24, setting up the year ahead for further success.Official website
